Donations

By choosing to stay at Koala Lane for your next holiday, you actively support our commitment to koala conservation and the restoration of their population in local natural habitats. For every reservation made, Coffs Coast Accommodation will make a donation through koala adoptions, directly aiding the crucial efforts of the Koala Hospital in rescuing and protecting these iconic creatures.

The local koala habitats in our region fell victim to the destructive bushfires, leaving a lasting impact.

Recognising the urgency of the situation, the Koala was officially classified as an endangered species in 2022.

Coffs Coast Accommodation wanted to make a meaningful contribution towards the ongoing efforts of koala rescue, management of sick and injured koalas, and their rehabilitation. In response, we have established an ongoing koala adoption program. Through this initiative, we aim to provide a positive impact on the recovery and well-being of koalas.

The Port Macquarie Koala Hospital

Since 1973, the Koala Hospital has been committed to rescuing and rehabilitating koalas. Operating under the management of Koala Conservation Australia Limited, a non-profit organisation, the hospital benefits from the unwavering dedication of around 200 volunteers. These individuals are passionately devoted to the welfare of koalas. Along with a passion for preservation and revitalisation of their native environments.

When planning your upcoming vacation at Koala Lane, take pride in knowing that your booking will contribute to the preservation of our local koala population. Together, we can make a significant impact in preserving these beloved creatures and their habitats.

Although the koalas we have adopted do not inhabit the immediate vicinity, you might be fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of wild koalas in the nearby trees if luck is on your side…

Remember to gaze upwards and inform us if you spot anything remarkable!
